RIACES has set in motion a unit destined to generate regional information and compared it since the contribution made by its members and, simultanously strenghten them with different iniciatives associated to the generation of information under international guidelines and conditions.

Amongst the latter, takes a great importances the progresive inclussion of the members of the region into UNESCO’s Portal of recognized institutions through the a coordinated work of the Network.

Using as a basic and fundamental reference the needs of the member agencies, in one side, and the international convergence opportunities, in the other, RIACES has proposed to count with a series of analithycal registries, which, besides being developed on rigorous statistical confiability schemes, are generated with the purpose of contributing in the mutual recognition of the information associated with the region agencies’ evaluation and accreditation.

The quality of the information produce by a QA agency is important, for at least two reason:

Because it endorses the public guarantee on the quality of programmes an institutions undertaken by the agencies.

Because the observance of Best Practices of the agencies and the guidelines associated to the internal quality of the agencies can be confirmed from information that is suficiently proven to be consider “evidence” of any Best Practice of Guideline.

For both reason, the information generated by the Network in a compared level counts with analytical annexes that justify their comparatibility. It has two main focus:

The publication of the evaluation results in an accesible way to the general audience, using the UNESCO’s Portal and complementary regional search engines.

The generation, under harmonized criteria, of information components associated to Agencies’ Best Practices and the guidelines to the development of internal quality units. Regarding this, there will be generated progressively analytical registries of the information consider relevant in the Handbook for the Self Evaluation of Agencies and in the Forms For Information Gathering developed by RIACES.

Finnaly, even though RIACES has generated a series of indicators, it has also generates indicators promoted by different International Institutions in an attempt to strengthen the internationalization components of the agencies and the Network.
