RIACES constitutes itself as an instance to promote, between the Iberoamerican countries, the cooperation and exchange in higher education evaluation and accreditation, and contributes to the Higher Education Quality guarantee in these countries.

Objectives

RIACES’ objectives are:

• Promote cooperation, information exchange and experiencies between organizations and Iberoamerican entities whose mision are Higher Education Quality evaluation and accreditation.
• Facilitate the transference of knowledge and information for the development of activities that seek the streghthening and qualification of the evaluation and accreditation of titles or academic programs and higher education institutions in each country; as well as the organizations that perform it- evaluation agencies and other organizations- and the governmental organizations that are involved en the conduction of these proccesses.
• Contribute to the progressive development of an accreditation system that favors the recognition of titles, education periods and study degrees; academic programs and higher education institutions, to facilitate the movility of students, members of the faculty and profesionals; as well as the regional educational integration in the countries whose organizations and evaluation and accreditation agencies conforms RIACES.
• Collaborate in fostering the higher education quality guarantee in the Ibero-american countries through RIACES’ activities and with the support of agencies and national and international cooperation organization.
• Support the organization of systems, agencies and evaluation organization of evaluation and accreditation, in the countries of the region that does not have one and manifest their interest to develop such an institution.
• Promote the thinking and reflexion on future scenarios for the higher education in Iberoamerica from the evaluation and accreditation perspective, as an instrument for the permanent improvement of the quality of the institutions and programs.
